6th / 5th - Miss A. Juarez - Language Arts
Who is Ms. Juarez?
I am so excited to be a part of the school staff this year celebrating my 16th year of teaching. I grew up in Laredo, but moved away for over 20 years. Laredo has definitely changed a lot since I’ve been gone. I graduated from Trinity University and St. Mary’s University both in San Antonio, TX with a Masters in Education and a Masters in Community Counseling. I worked in San Antonio as an elementary and middle school teacher for 10 years and I moved to Laredo five years ago and taught in UISD. I am proud to say I am also an avid rancher and enjoy having a second job in raising cattle. I have many passions and of course they include reading. I look forward to working with you and your child this year.
My students will quickly learn my favorite saint, Saint Francis of Assisi and my favorite prayer:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
